Within the last 2 months i have had at least 5 ocassions where i have had a fever but it probably only lasted for a couple of hours and by the following day when i wake up i am fine but i'm curious about what could cause that? I know what causes a fever, but is it normal to have them that often?

i think that is somewhat strange. it may be worth checking into. if you have really sweet insurance, go ask some doctors about it. perhaps you should get a blood work-up or something. if your fevers are fairly high and they continue to occur, i would say that you had definately better go see doctors and figure it out.

other things that come to mind are possible allergies/food allergies or dental problems. maybe impacted wisdom teeth could cause that symptom, i dunno.

try a daily multivitamin, a little exercise, some rest, and the healthiest diet you can manage. watch sugar intake.

good luck figuring it out.

You did not state how much of a fever you had, but if you only reached a 99.5 level, that can be considered normal. However, if you persistently run a temperature higher than that, you should see a doctor and have them run a complete blood count on you. It is possible you have a high white count which would mean your body is fighting an infection you may be unaware of. This happened to me and my white count was in the 20,000 range. I was treated with antibiotics and no more fever.

Some people have body temperatures of 97 as normal even though 98.6 is considered normal. Your body temperature will fluctuate during the day. I cannot say if this is normal or not for you but usually a continuous fever is a sign of something a little off. So, use your judgment and consult your physician for the best help.

You should have a fever as less often as possible. A fever is a sighn of infection. The body raises its temperature to allow white blood cells to proliferate or travel faster to the infected area.

depends on what you define as a fever. Body temperatures can elevate and lower throughout the day by as much as four degrees, and that is completely normal.
Fever that is the result of infection will go over 101 F. And stay there unless treated.

No it is not normal, you really should see a doctor about it and have a blood test.
