We got my dog at a Military Base where I used to live. She had a brother, but we couldnt take him because someone else wanted him. Now I think my dog misses her brother. Is there anyone who can help? All I want to do is make my dog happy again. How do I find her brother?

Is she a puppy?? When we first got our dog Giovanni, he was really young. He was so sad the first day or two. We let him sleep with us, and always had him around, before long he forgets and goes on with his business. He's not sad that he doesn't have his sibling, he's just nervous that he is in a new home. Make him feel loved, introduce him to other animals to keep her mind from his troubles.

Hi there!

My husband is active duty army so I've been living on and off of military bases for the last 2 years. Unfortunately the turn over for animals on military installations is rather quick, so the odds of finding your pooch's brother is slim to none. Most likely the dog has already been adopted and possibly moved from that installation to another with the family. If you think your dog might be lonely you can always adopt another dog from that shelter. Most places will point you in the right direction when choosing a companion animal, so go in and speak with someone who can help you find the perfect addition to your family. It also might be a good idea to bring your pooch in to meet any prospective new comers for a "trial run" to make sure they get along. Hope this helps and good luck!! :)

well it will be hard to find her brother.. but that happend to me too. when i went to go pick out my dog we brought a stuffed animal and rubbed it against his mom and all of his brothers and sisters to get their scent and he really likes it! he plays with it every day! so u can just call the breeder and ask him/her who bought the other dog and go to his house and bring a stuffed animal and ur good!!! =)

I dont know if you can do that. It would be real hard. But just try getting her another playmate. Another dog would work fine. I hope I helped. Good LUCK!!
