Actually, small doses of narcotic pain medication are safer to take that ibuprofen while pregnant. Generally, for moderate to severe pain, pregnant women can take acetaminophen (Tylenol) with hydrocodone (Vicodin, Lortab). For mild to moderate pain, Tylenol alone is best. Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen while pregnant, especially in the later stages of pregnancy. It can cause a heart problem to develop in your baby (premature closure of the ductus arteriosis if you want to do a search on it).

Check with your doc first.
The FDA advise that it is a Class C drug because of the oxycodone ingredient. If you take it near the birth of the bub it may depress the respiration. However, single doses during the pregnancy are unlikely to have an effect.
Codeine combinations with acetominophen would be OK (Class A).
BTW, the use of local anaesthetics, Xrays, and the extraction during pregnancy is all OK. There is no need for lead shields during Xrays, even for pregnant women.
Best of luck!

Get in touch with your OB/GYN and find out if you can take anything stronger than Tylenol. Generally, Tylenol is the only thing they recommend you take, but if you have extenuating circumstances they may decide to allow you to have something stronger.

no don't take percocet, it may not be good for the baby, but you can take Tylenol. Not that its as good as pecocets but it is safe for your baby. I hope you feel better soon ,congratulations on your baby...

i'm suprised they are even pulling your teeth while being pregnant..they often don't do that b/c of the risk of infection..
however, i would call your obgyn to be sure what is safe for your pregnancy..but in most cases it's pretty much a little bit of tylenol..

not while you are pregnant you can't. Percocet will cross the placenta. You will have to make do with tylenol.
