when a guy is talking 2 me..I cannot do eye contact..
I cant fir 10 sec look him in the eye....
my friends have noticed that..and say thats mean..
because when he starts talking 2 me..I look abit..then look away..I keep repeating it..lol
and they say its mean..and that i should look at them!
IS IT?

well !! i think before i answer your question , i should know your personality !! because , this may show that you are shy with that guy !! if u like a guy , u can't look at him directly at first !! right ?? anyway !! let me tell u that , this is something normal , sometimes !! not all the times !! depending on the situation you were in !! though , it doesn't show lack of confidence !! mostly it shows that you are a polite girl !! this is my opinion !!

It is not mean, Shows that you are a bit insecure with yourself. But that is ok. We are all insecure to a point. Eye contact is important however if you are listening to what they are saying that is more important. If you have problems with eye contact and you get the sence they think you are not listening to them.. try to repeat back what they said to you in some way. It will show that your listening and that you are still with what they are saying. It will take some time for you to feel secure enough to talk to them but practice makes perfect.
You can also try counting in your head.. from 1 to 10 and give them 10 second looks. From there you can work your way up to looking at them though the whole conversation. It will take time but you can do it.
Your not a bad person if you cant look at a guy.. some people have a problem looking at the oppisite sex for long periods of time.

Most peeople don't make direct eye contact. When most people look at one another, they look at some part of the persons face but not directly into their eyes, this is just a wierd human quirk. Stop trying to make direct eye contact and just let the conversation flow. If you are not interested in the person, let them know politley, but don't just look away, that makes you look like you are stuck up and think you are better than everyone else.

They say eyes are the key to the soul. Maybe you don't want someone looking into your soul. Especially if the person is neither your friend or someone you have an interest in. Guys can especially misinterpret eye contact if a women looks at us to much or two little. But one can speculate endlessly... Just be yourself...

It's because you're shy. Maybe a bit insecure. It's not mean to look away. A guy will know if you're interested, even the shortest eye contact won't lie. You do what feels comfortable to you and don't listen to your "friends."

Hell no sweetie. Its not mean at all.
I do exactly the same, and the reason why I do it is because I'm shy and have no confidence. I have tried to hold eye contact, but I cant do it.
This happens regardless of who I speak to, whether male or female, but its worse when I talk to a guy cos I can feel my face going red lol.

You are just shy... But guys might take that as a way to ignore them or something... Some men are like that, they need to know if you are interested in the conversation, and if you keep doing this, they might feel you aren't...
Just don't think about it too much. Look at them. Or just explain to them that Ypu are kind of shy, or that he makes you nervous... They won't mind

Well at least you do make some eye contact. But you do need to be careful how much you look away. It may seem as if you are antsy to get away from him or that you just aren't interested.

Not so much mean as it is being showing a disinterest in what they have to say. People who cannot make eye contact either dont want to talk with you or have something to hide and dont want you to see it in their eyes.

It's not mean but don't be surprised if guys get tired of talking to you. They're going to feel like your your not interested or you don't care. The truth is most of the time it is just an insecurity.
