Am i eligible for food stamps in the state of GA?

I am a 17 yr old pregnant teen living with my boyfriends family. i do not have to pay rent but all other necessities I take care of myself. So i was wondering am i eligible for food stamps in the state of georgia?

Most likely yes. You most likely will have to get a signed statement from head of household from your boyfriends family stating that you prepare and eat your meals seperatly from them.

Do you work? They go by your income, or your household income...I don't know how GA is, but I live in Missouri and here it seems to be luck of the draw...they told me I'm not eligible and I'm 20 and pregnant, my boyfriend and I live together and with the cost of living, some government help would sure be nice. I used to work at a grocery store(now I have a much better job) but when I worked there, so many people had EBT(foodstamp) cards and then they would pull out rolls of money and it was frustrating! But all you can do is apply for them and claim as little as possible, being 17 will give you a better chance also! Good Luck

The only way to find out is to apply at your locale public welfare offic, some states do an online survay to let you know if you are eligible too. If you are eligible for medical assistance and WIC you should be able to get food stamps.

i am pretty sure you are.just go to your local human services and apply. I know for a fact you are eligible for wic, you go to the health department for that goodluck.
