I am currently filling in my application and I am totally unsure. What is your answer. and why.

Printing is better. Simply because it is easier to read in most cases.

I read and process a lot of applications at my job, the best I can tell you is to print. I am sure that a lot of people will agree with me on this. It is a lot easier for the person who is reading your application to read print over trying to decide "what letter is that" with cursive. If it is a take home application and your handwriting is not that great, it is okay to ask a friend or family member to fill it out for you. Also, make sure that you make extra blank copies of your application in case you mess up. The last thing that you want someone to see is white out and scratched out words. Printing is easier to read. And many applications require you to print all your answers for that reason.

Printing, sometimes cursive can be hard to read and printing will just look neater.♥
