Wow, you folks really need to take a course on Eastern and Western Religion, no offense.

Judaism, Christianity and Islam are Western Religions. They are grouped this way because are all monotheistic (believe in one God) whereas Eastern Religions (has nothing to do with the East specifically as religions originating in the Americas are also Eastern Religions) are polytheistic (having more than one God).

The earliest form of Judaism can be traced back to Abraham at around 3800 BCE (before common era). Of course Christianity began with the worship of Christ between 20 and 50 ACE and Islam began by Muhammad in the 7th century, around 620 ACE.

As you can see, the people that believe in these religions not only have a common ancestry but also a common belief. The fighting is because of the religious leader's desires, not because of the religions themselves; at least in my opinion. Also, the Israelites pretty much had control of much of the land that was later taken away by the Christians and the Muslims in th 11 century so I can't see where they have stolen any land (and no, I'm not Jewish).

The Hindu's and Muslims in India have killed each other in droves over the last 50 years. This is one reason why Iran is so interested in matching its nuclear weaponry to that of India. Eastern religions have just as bloody of a history as do the Western ones.

Hope this helps clarify things a little.

Hinduism was very ancient religoin. It has its roots some where between 5000 to 3000 BC. It was evovled before human civilization became stable. Bhuddism branched out of Hindhuism in BC´s. As these were very ancient they became more a practice than a religion.

But this christianity and Islam etc were new to the world and evovled only after human civilization became stable. So these were fighting for SUPREMACY. Hence the world should suffer from these religions until either chistianity or islam think that ther`s were not religions but just a practice or a way of living life !!!!!!

Because people in the same family fight over the small stuff. They each remember a key detail differently that changes everything in their minds. When you add to that how political and populous these religions are, you have the ultimate Family Feud.

I take heart, personally, because I am realizing more and more each day that they are not the majority, they are just the loudest and featured prominently in the media. It's propaganda - it's all been propaganda for all these years. There are more centerists than republicans and democrats when you look at what people believe and want - and there are more religiously tolerant people than the intolerant. We are all just coming out of the wood work it seems - and the world is awakening to a new era. I think what we are seeing now are the violent flailings of the old ways dying a natural death.

Peace!

Those are three religions. Judaism was the first religion and Islam stemmed from it and later Christianity with Jesus (who was a Jew). Islam and Judaism are very closely related together but Christianity is a little more different. The Muslims hate the Jews because they think that Jews are evil or something. Christians dont really fight alot. And the other religions dont fight alot because they dont have alot of issues that are bothering them. THey arent as spread as the other three. The main two religions at "war" right now are Jews and Muslims over Israel and the Middle East. Open your mind and decide who really is at fault. THe religion not listed is the cause. Jews are good people, so are Muslims. Their images are just destroyed by society to make us think they are both bad.

I would guess the other religions have just as many "issues." However, the fact that there numbers are only a fraction of the big three make their conflicts less news worthy.

The world is suffereing because humans run it. To blame God or religion is a cop out.

These are the three largest religions, and it is not a religious issue that causes war, but the push for power and wealth. We just hear of these groups more, as they have political issues in many areas of the world.

The Sikhs have their issues in India, and there has been bloodshed.

And, just to note-----Muslims, Christians, and Jews are not nations, as they are scattered all over the world. They are religions, not confined to just one nation.

Because the Muslims think the Jews stole their land (Israel) so the Muslims want it back. And since America is siding with Israel and the Middle Eastern Muslims think all Americans are Christians they hate the Christians too.
And if you are thinking about the crusades, the Muslims attacked Jerusalem so the "Christian" Kings of Europe got angry because they attacked the holy land so they launched crusades at them.
But also the Hindus have issues with the Muslims too in India, theyre constantly fighting over land.

Because Hinduism (which totally rocks), and all of those Dharmic religions are all about peace, and not forcing people to understand the religion. Sure, people don't like Hindusim because they think it is a polytheist religion, but they just can't understand the Hindus, and the Hindus want people to understand it without other Hindus forcing them to understand it. It's not like you see Hindu grade schools. You see Catholic Schools. You see Islamic based schools. You also see some Jewish based schools. But none for the Dharmic religions.

I'm assuming that you're saying those three religons are the closest nearly of all religons?

Yes, it is true. Judaism was the first out of those three monotheistic religons to emerge and Christianity branched out from it, eventually becoming larger than its predecessor. Islam also branched out aftewards, but all three religons have accounts about Abraham and his meeting with God/Jehovah/Allah. In many ways, these religons are very similar.

i see where your coming from and I agree with you. The problem is that in all religion there are some who don't follow what they teach. that goes for the Bible or the Koran, if those that say they follow it and do the opposite, it gives a bad name for those that are trying hard to follow it. God won't allow them to continue much longer so be patient and be good.
