Which do people prefer? I have naturally curly hair but sometimes I straighten it-I don't think either is better but my friends all seem to want to tell me what they prefer! Wondered if there's a general opinion?

Different people like different things. I have similar hair. It's naturally curly but I can straighten it. I have found that most women say my hair looks better straight and most men say they like it better curly. I don't know what it is with guys and curly hair. But I just switch it up, usually depending on how much time and patience I have, because it usually takes a few hours to straighten it.

I love curly hair I really want to get my dead straight hair curly. It never holds tho, grr! Natural curly hair is really thick and sometimes frrizzy, it's hard to control. I think loose curls, not frizzy, look better than straight hair. It's different anyway, like natural blonde hair is rare, natural curly hair on a white girl is rare.
Ooh I just noticed, my avatar has curly hair! lol, see I did that cos I thought that hairstyle was the nicest lol

Curly hair is much better!!! Nowadays people who have straight hair still tend to use straighteners, thus having straight hair still takes time and effort. You, on the other hand, have the choice of straight or curly for the same effort!!!

I've got curly hair-it can get really curly!! But I tend to tie it back when damp,so it ends up wavy when it's dry,and I sometimes straighten it-but flick the ends (it's layered) to give it more 'character'. But loads of people go on at me and tell me I should leave it curly! B/F prefers it straightened though-same as me.

It depends on how curly your hair is. If it takes a straight jacket to control the poof, then go with straight, but not every day, cause your hair will be seriously damaged. If it's not frizzy or anything, then it can be really pretty. Curly hair is coming back in. My hair is sorta wavy, so I don't know what it's like to have curly hair. Just go with whatever one you like better!!

I think people with curly hair want it straight, and people with straight hair want curls, its a "the grass is greener" thing
I would love soft curls, but my hair is pretty much perm resistant on the right side of my head, the last perm I got was funny looking because it was only curly on the left side, the right side was totally flat

Change to how you are feeling and what you are wearing. I sometimes have curly and sometimes straight there isn't a right or wrong answer and you are lucky you can choose so mix up and everyone will be happy, but mainly you - have your hair how you like it not anyone else.

I have naturally curly hair but it comes with a load of frizz so I try and stay away from that look. Straight is hard to get because my hair is so damn thick. But overall, I prefer curly because it looks funky and straight often looks boring unless there is a style to it.
