I prefer square (It's called Sicilian) because it fills me up more.

I often like square better, especially for frozen pizza (ala DiGiorno wheat crust). But, it's all about the thickness. Really thick, loaded pizza makes me sick. Thin, crispy pizza is awesome--especially if its the kind without red sauce.

Try the Wood Fired Pizza Margherita at Carrabba's (a chain)http://www.carrabbas.com/.

It's great--olive oil on the crust, fresh mozzerella, Roma tomatoes, fresh basil and some blend of herbs and pepper that's to die for. I could eat it every night.

Once upon a time, there were no pizza restaurants. My mother made pizza at home. It was rectangular because that was the shape of the pan she used. She cooked sausage to top it with the cheese and tomato sauce. It was great! It's not the shape of the pizza, it's the ingredients.

Depends on who is making it!!!!
In NH there is a little mom and pop shop up on the beach (Hampton beach) that makes square pizza and it is to die for...lots of cheese and sauce...mmmmm

But here in OK I would have to say round and extra thin so it has a nice crunch with lots of cheese and sauce...
