I used to go out with an awesome guy. Then we kind of broke up and my friends said mean things about him INTO HIS ANSWERING MACHINE. Now hes mad at me and thinks I told them all about us. I didnt. Hes not talking to me and I know I was really mean to him but I want him back. I've been crying every night now for weeks and emailing him but nothing works. My mom took me to a doctor and she pronounced me depressed and needing to see a shrink. No one except my close friends know about this. If he tears me apart this much, why do I still love him and want him back?!

It isn't that you love HIM. You love the way he makes you feel. For some reason he either builds your self esteem, makes you feel needed, or something. Talk to the doctor and see what he or she has to say. In the meantime try to get busy and don't focus on this guy. Trust me, you don't want to let this ruin your holiday.

Even if your friends hadn't left mean messages on his voicemail box, it'd be very hard to have your lover back. Because usually when a guy breaks up he REALLY means its over and he starts moving on. I hate to say this but he is probably over you now and if you try to gain him back you will only make a fool of yourself. You should try to heal your love wounds. An independant girl that carries on with confidence and courage is more attractive anyway than a wretched thing stuck in the middle of a depression. My advice : move on, that may be the only way for not losing him completely.

You're young!! These things are bound to happen, all you can do is to move on while looking at the situation as a maturing process, and in a way, it is. Don't be depressed, don't feel down, focus on yourself now and never EVER just sit there and feel sad. Life isn't pretty, and to succeed in life, you have to realize how to overcome the obstacles, because there will be a lot. The main important thing is to rise from all the crap life throws at you.

How or why did you break up with him? If you were mean to him, then he needs time to heal from the pain of being so hurt by you. If you have faith in God, then pray, be patient, and work on being happy with yourself first, then allow for him to remember how good you have been for what it's worth. If things are meant, then you guys will work things out and be happy. If not, then you will connect with someone even better after you've taken care of yourself. Best wishes....

You will never get him back. It is over move on. A lost lover has found it's place. LOST. Never to be found. Gone, get over it. I would love to reunite with mine. Once the damage is done then so is the trust. Now we simply have to move on.
