Things are only going to get worse if you do not do something about this NOW. Someone with an addiction cannot think clearly and sometimes refuse help. You cannot change or help an adult who does not want it. The addiction has taken over.

This is the time for you to think about what you want and need in YOUR LIFE. If the house is not in your name, there is nothing you can do about the house. You should NOT be paying his bills either. All you need to do is get out of the house and take your name off of any of the bills your name is on.

I'm really not sure that making him leave would be the best decision to make. I have to ask if he has gotten any help for his addiction? Because the last thing you want for anyone is to be on the streets. And if he has been able to keep a steady job then perhaps there is still hope. And what about his family? Could he stay with them until he gets back on his feet? If he refuses treatment or doesn't get better then you will have to get legal help to have him removed.

Call the cops on him. They can force a person to leave their home if they are engaging in dangerous behavior. Getting busted might teach him a lesson.

Before resorting to that, however, have you had an "intervention" type of conversation with him? It doesn't have to be a big, dramatic thing with lots of people like on TV shows, but just tell him that his drug use bothers you and that it's impacting both of your lives negatively.

If he doesn't respond to this measure, then it might be time to consider a more extreme solution, such as getting the authorities involved. I bet if you talked to the police, they could set it up so that he wouldn't know that you were the one who called them.

If your name is not on the house, cut your losses and leave. You have no future with him and thank God no children.

If your name is on the mortgage, leave and have him agree to sell the house or pay you your share. You will need to get an attorney.

These options are much better than being with a crackhead.

If you want him out, their is a couple different ways. First, you can call the police (make sure he has some crack on him when you do so they will bust him) and have him arrested. Next, go to court and file for a restraining order (make sure you tell the judge you feel for your life because he has violent druggie friends, etc., etc. etc., this will make the judge assign officers to watch your house). Then, cut everything off to the house, sell it quick and fast like sex in Saigon, and move to South Florida where the weather is always warm!!! Bingo!!

Unfortunately, you do not have much recourse regarding the house, but you may be able to buy him out.

You can try a formal Intervention, but he may refuse to get help. Talk to a lawyer, who may help you report him to the authorities. He may go to jail, you may be able to file a restraining order, you may be able to buy his share of the house and apply the share of his mortgage payments that you have covered so far.

Another option is to stop paying the mortgage, move out and let the house fall into foreclosure.

Call the police and tell them he's smoking crack and refuses to leave the residence. Have him busted!

You need to contact a lawyer and provide proof that YOU are the one making the payments and somehow get his name removed from that mortgage. Good luck!

Been There done that, He never got out though and I ended up going to jail!!! He had his SHI* in my house and the police came to get him ( he was out on a "all nighter") and I went to jail!!

I was to worried about him and him being out on the streets so I felt sorry for him. I tried to change him and that wouldnt work. I had to learn the hard way!!

Get him out....How ever yopu possibly can!! As soon as he leaves call the cops tell them what he is doing. Give them a description of the car.

Give him lots of money...maybe he will OD!

I dont know but get him out before it is to late hun!!!

If his name is on the house you can not legally make him leave even if you are making all of the payments. If I were you I would leave and find another place to live.
