Katty,

No words can describe the look on my son's face when he caught his very first fish. The years were rewinded in an instant, as I reminisced the same scenario with my Father years ago.

Fishing is such a great escape...especially for children. Because when a child chooses fishing, then at least you know they are not into trouble.

Kind Regards,

In the 1930's My great grand Father caught a 115 pound catfish out of the Mississippi River (he was a commercial fisherman). When they cut it open they found an 18 pound Logger Head Snapping Turtle in its stomach. Its true, I've got pictures. It was during the Depression and they sold the fish meat as well as the turtles.

I love to fish as well. My best story was when I was fishing this one lake when a boat motored by. Three women in the other boat lifted their shirts and flashed me.

I love fish! It's my favorite! Once I ate a fish at a party before it started. I got in trouble. I was growled for 2 weeks. NO TV , NO HANGING WITH FRIENDS OR PLAYING ON THE COMPUTER! Isn't that mean?

How about being out in the Florida panhandle and while reeling in a mahi mahi, a 7foot bull shark was trailing our boat. They do this a lot in the gulf of mexico. I saw him up close, something you never forget. florida has the best fishing.

When my father became ill and couldn't fish any longer we had a conversation that went like this: "Dad, thanks, you taght me everything you know about fishing.. He replied,"No, son, I taught you everything YOU know, the rest is up to you". Never forgot those words, and never stopped trying to learn more.
