Every religion has a god or gods ... that is the definition of religion. If you are asking what religion "the" God follows .. NONE.

God is in no religion. Religion is man made. God is beyond our understanding, we create religion as a means to deal with him on our own terms. That's where we make mistakes.
I am a christian only because I believe Jesus Christ was the son of God. I am not a baptist, methodist, catholic, etc. because those are religions.

Hi I helped in this a little while ago but I can try again for you.
Most other religions are trying to find a way to God or heaven or eternal live.
The fundamental beliefs are you can get there by works or meditation or by repeating lives until you are perfected.
Where all other religions are trying to get to Christianity starts.
When you become a Christian God is there with you from the moment you say yes building a relationship with you, You are transferred from here to heaven spiritually and are given eternal life the first time, you are perfected in Gods Son.
He did what we can't, live a perfect life now when you receive Him God sees you through His Son.
Religion is mans way to get to God. We say Christianity is Gods way to reveal Himself to you.
That is why is is so hard to receive Christianity because it is a free gift from God to anyone who is willing to believe it. We don't have to earn it or go through some ritual to get it nor can you buy it.
He makes it possible to have a relationship with him. He did everything. Hope that helps a little.

Psa 96:4 For the LORD [is] great, and greatly to be praised: he [is] to be feared above all gods.
Psa 96:5 For all the gods of the nations [are] idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
God is only in Christianity.
god is in other religions.

God is in the "religion" where He rules and reigns as Lord and Savior, where He lives in the heart of man, where He is recognized for Who He is and known for Who He is, where there is a relationship with Him; it's not about religion, it's about relationship.

That's a confusing question. Lots of religions have gods. Some have single gods.
The main religions I can think of that have a single god are Christianity, Judaism, and Muslim.

Each religion you asked would make the ascent that "God" is in their religion and so your answer would not get truly answered in the way you would want. Yes your question is vague, for the name "God" is basic terminology that describes every faith based religion in a supreme being.
However, God to be the real God must in and of Himself be declarative to prove by His own standards to show that He is God. Religions claim alot about who they worship as "God" or will discuss His attributes of their god or gods or goddesses. So we need more than just a claim from our point of reference.
The One True God has shown himself, declared himself, revealed himself, and defined himself by what He has done. Thus in that realm He alone is Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, Holy, Just, loving, caring, compassionate and preserver of His realm. The question then lies in, where has such a God been revealed? Where and in what religion has God shown himself to be of such pure and undefiled qualities and quantities to show that He is God? One can debate which "God" is the One True God, only One has proven who He is by what He has done.
The One True God can not be unjust, immoral, evil, unrighteous, showing favoritism, hating one classification of people while loving another. He can not be unholy in actions, he must be immutable meaning that He is always the same he cannot change, he must be greater than his religion can espouse him. to be, for the one True God can not be defined by the minds of one man or all men. For God who is truly God is beyond comprehension and his ways past finding out. God is God by what He has accomplished to prove He is God
- whom it is said -
for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

What how can the diety be in a religion. they can't worship themselves. Plus there are so many branches of the Christian religion you can't say god is in just one. Plus more than likely God didn't want thousands of different sects of religion all worshiping him. he probably wanted one church run by the same guidelines. but of course man has a way of screwing things up

If there's a God then religion is just the way of observing him/her/it that you have chosen. God is like a candle flame surrounded by many colours of stained glass. God doesn't change, but the way different people observe him does.
