About 7 months ago i woke up after feeling ill ( Think it was just a stomach bug) , I then felt like i couldnt breath and started 'panic'-ing.Then i felt confused, then within minutes dangerously confused.I had enough about me to phone a friend , who came round my house. I couldnt even dress myself and i didnt even know how to walk! ( im being serious). After a day or so i was walking and talking , but ive never quite felt the same since.Any ideas what that was . ( btw i didnt go to a doctor)

I often think im on the verge of a panic attack all the time now, although what happened has never re-occured.Also when it did happen i felt suicidal.

You already know that what happened was serious. Bad enough to leave you unable to walk for goodness sake. OK so you have done really well to have recovered this far, but do you really think the long term answer is to air it here?, You need professional help. It should result one of two things, a more full recovery or the prevention of a recurrence or decline if possible. Doing nothing really isn't the option.

If you have had an episode which is physical in its origin, then the fact you are making progress should encourage you to seek out further assistance to speed it up. If it was of a mental aberration, then you might get further episodes which may be just as debilitating, so you do need to get some support.

By the way - if you did have a stomach bug, and suffered moderate to severe dehydration as a result, the symptoms you describe are exactly what I would expect them to be. The anxiety you have now would be because your confidence has been shaken by the shock, neither are disastrous and easy to resolve.

Good luck whatever happens.

I had a similar thing, but mine started with a runny nose , then respitory wheezing , pins and needles in my face and body and my legs were too weak to carry me , My thoughts were confused.

I managed to get to the hospital after being stuck in a taxi for two hours thinking i was going to die,

They jabbed me with a few injections and put me on a drip, and i was fine in a few days.
