I withdrew from my calculus class earlier last semester, but my parents don't know.. My dad saw the W on my report card online a few days ago and asked me if I withdrew from that class, but I told him that I didn't withdraw and it was the school that made a mistake. (I really regret not telling him when he had asked me.) He told me yesterday that he's going to talk to the school dean and ask about it. What should I do?? Should I wait until he finds out or should I tell him now? I'm kind of scared to see my parents reaction when they find out...

As a parent I suggest you please tell them the truth. I know they will be very upset with you but explain why you did. If they find out on thier own, you will be in way worse trouble.

Did you drop out because it was too much pressure? Or was it just too hard? Either way it is understandable. Math is not my best subject either and if you dropped out then tell your parents. They will understand, but don't just say you dropped out because you wanted to, say something like, "I dropped out of calculus because I can't handle it and if I were to stay in I could of failed. I am sorry I lied to you earlier Dad...I just didn't know what you would think of me." Don't worry, it will be fine, but if you are going to tell the truth do it as soon as possible because the longer you wait the more damage it will have on you.

Its really up to you. Can your dad be given any information if he calls the school? Isn't that confidential? If I were you I would tell them. I dropped a class once and my parents were mad until I explained why. They will get over it. If your dad can find out from the school, I would definitely tell him first, I think he would be more angry hearing it from the school then if you were to tell him. Good Luck!

Tell the truth. It is going to come out sooner or later and the longer you wait the worse it will be.

Of course you should have told your parents the truth. Now it could bite you in the behind. Lies only cause more trouble than they are worth. Go tell them.

Tell them now, before they embarrass you in front of the school dean by getting mad at you right then and there

You should tell them the truth and the reason for your actions. That is the only way they wouldn't get mad at you.
