If you're pale with veyr light eyes and 30 years old what is the best haircolor to look young ?
I recently went from very light blond to strawberry blond.
The very light blond washed me out and the strawberry is too orangey for me.
Would a very light golden brown be best ?
(my natural hair color is medium chesnut brown but started going white at 21 years old)

Typically, lighter hair speaks of youth- that's why you see more toddlers with whispy white-blonde hair than anyone else.
But, since platinum is not what you are going for...I would reccomend using a light/med brown, and have highlights put in- it's a more subtle way to lighten your hair, and it's less likely to wash you out- because the hair color isn't a solid-light color... However, I am a natural blonde and have icy blue eyes, and even though lighter hair is considered more 'youthful' I prefer to have dark hair because it makes my eyes pop.
Sometimes having a more striking look is more attractive and effective than trying to look 'young'.
If you have a hard time deciding, ask your hair stylist- not that you have to pay out the nose to have them do your color (if you can afford it- great!) but they usually have a good handle on what works well with people's skin-tone, and if you have a good relationship with them, they are usually more than happy to give suggestions.

You can try a multi-hair color put in by a proffessional stylist with foils. This is usually called a foil weave. If you are solid strawberry you can add a few blond streaks around your face. If the strawberry is already mixed with the blond it will be better for a multi-color. Just have a stylist add some carmel color streaks to it. If you decide to go into a solid brown stop at a wig store and try on some before you decide. You will be surprised at what looks good. Every face is different so without seeing your coloring this will be the best advice I can give.

Many people find it easier in terms of upkeep to dye their hair blonde as they grey (or in your case, go white). However, you are correct in that this can make a person appear washed out as they age.

It is commonly recognized that as a person ages, darker hair colour can add youth to their appearance. It cannot be said that any given colour is more youthful, as blonde can look very youthful on a teenager :o)

You don't want a drastic contrast between your pale skin and dark hair, so I'd suggest a medium brown, with golden highlights.

Good luck.

At age thirty, blonde hair would just make you look older. Go light-brown or maybe even a dark red!

Try a color closer to your natural color maybe with a little warm undertones in it instead of a cool undertone. This would cover the grey and bring some color to your pale face.
