No they are not the same. Calphalon is an anodized metal which means it has multiple metals plus Teflon all melded together....the Teflon will not come off the pan, ever...I have them and love, love them.....good choice for great cook-ware....also try their kitchen gadgets.....

calthalon products can be safer to use, but some products such as the stainless steel can be harder to clean and need special cleaning pads and detergents however calthalon products cook more evenly and require less heat then teflon.
