It's immaturity. Her low self-esteem gets a boost if she feels that she has more than one guy chasing after her.
Instead of recognizing a good thing and making it work, girls who play jealousy games often lose really good guys that would make them happy.
First, they feel like they are "playing it safe" by keeping another guy in the wings. Second, they test the "response" of a guy (you) by the way you react to her jealousy games. If you get all bent out of shape, then her pitiful self-esteem gets a boost. Even if you leave, her self-esteem gets a boost, because she can rationalize that she has guys fawning all over her and the fact that you and she didn't work out is diminished in her eyes.
If you are a chump who likes to put up with little girl games, then go ahead and get upset about it. If you're a man who knows what he wants, then I would hold out for someone mature and leave the kids to their games.

because they miss that special someone that they really like and asume that person is over them and try to make them jealous so they try to win back thier love that way..

It has more to it,then just making you "come back" to her.Jealousy is a sign of deeper feelings.If you do get "caught",then it's obvious.

sometimes they just wan guys to draw attention to them.. sometimes they just like to see guys jealous about it.. its cute when guys jealous. talk to her about it.
