An ecosystem, a contraction of "ecological" and "system", refers to the collection of components and processes that comprise, and governs the behavior of some defined subset of the biosphere.
in simple terms,many organisms living in an area with conection(interacting) to each other.
so pacific o. itself is a part of the ecosystem where you may say marine animals live in there habitats with respect to their environment(sorroundings).

I think you are referring to the Pacific Ring of Fire, but it isn't an ecosystem.
