If you are having sex, it is. Called statutory rape, and they don't need your consent to prosecute him.

Yes it is only if you do not have the consent of a parent or guardian. However if you do have that consent then you are not breaking the law. However if your parents have not given the consent and they are really against the living arrangements then they could have your partner charged with kid napping, and if they don't choose to do that then they can get the landlords in trouble for renting to a minor if your name is on the lease. I think that it is in your best interest to get your parents permission to live with your partner. On the other hand if you are moving out because your home with your parents is not a safe home for you then you should go to the proper authorities, and if that doesn't work or is not an option you want to take then see if you can move in with another family member. This way there is no possible way that your partner will get into any trouble. If you two are having sex that is fine as well. By law the legal age is now 14, unless you are in the states then it is illegal

Are you asking if its against the law to love an older person? Because no its not against the law to be in love with someone older or younger than you but it is against the law for an 18 year old to act sexually unto a 15 year old.

Has age of consent gone down to 15 already? If so then no. If it is illegal for 15 year olds to consent to sex then the 18 year old is technically breaking the law.

If my child was the 18 yr-old
I'd MOVE their ar$se OUT FAST

the 18 yr-old is legally responsible
the 18 yr-old can do jail time

there's something about a 5 year difference that could put one up for sexual predatory status
of course there's only 3 years difference here

so I'll get off my high horse and leave you to your answers

oh and legally it surely depends on your State's Laws
if you're in GA see the following info" The Georgia Supreme Court has turned down an appeal from a teen who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for having sex with a 15-year-old.In a ruling released Friday, the court denied a motion for reconsideration filed by lawyers for Genarlow Wilson, who was 17 when he and the 15-year-old engaged "

yes it is against the law
but in certain circumstances the law will do very little about it, because once it gets to court and the both of you say you want this, the judge usually looks at the cost to the court, and he knows you two will still get back together, so unless one parent or the other complains, usually nothing happens,....note I said usually, take a look at the teacher and the 15 1/2 boy a few months ago, the STATE arrested her for being with a minor because there were complaints put in by the parents...so if your parents disagree be careful until at least next year...

GOOD LUCK ! !

I' m very sorry to tell you that it is against the law.
I know love doesn't understand about age or color or religion, but it is against the law and you might get in a lot of trouble that you don't need right know.
tAKE IT EASY DON'T DO ANYTHING YOU'RE GOING TO REGGRET LATER.
Plus at 15 you are just letting your hormones act. I'm not really sure in what point it can really be Love.
Better to be safe than Sorry!
Let this person understand in a way that doesn't hurt their feelings that it's better to wait for the right time and the right person. If it's for you it might return to you.

Well in some states if not all at 15 you're still under the age of consent. The 18 year old is an adult and can be charged with statutory rape. Check your local laws...

Without parental permission on the 15 year old's part--yes. But living together is permitted if allowed by the parents. It's only illegal when that 15 year old and 18 year old have sex--statutory rape. It doesn't matter if the 15 year old agrees to it or not, it's rape.

It depends on the state if you live in USA... if you live somewhere else I have no idea, you'd need to look into their laws. Just living together would not be a crime if the under aged parents agreed to it however if sex is involved it may or may not be against the law.

I would tell you to read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_consent but it will not give you the answer. It depends in the jurisdiction you are living in. In the state of Rhode Island the age of consent is sixteen so here you would be acting in a matter that is against the law. The age of sixteen is the law in most but not all states in the United States.

Good Luck!!!

Yea, it's illegal... The 18 year-old is the one breaking the law.

But that's only the legal point of view... If u love each other and don't harm one another, I say it's ok to break the law this time.
