I hope these pictures help!! He is a little boy named Pj and he is 11 mths old!! All we know about his breed is he is a Pug cross!!
Please help me find out what type of breed his dad was and what he is crossed with!!

As other answers have stated, it appears to have Chihuahua, or Basenji, or Jack Russel Terrier in the background. However, there is no way to be sure. The sire could have been a mix. While there are people who create names for crossbreds, they are not really a breed. For example, mine is a mix of a Great Dane and a German Shepherd, but it isn't a breed, it is a cross bred.
A breed of dog is one which is recognized by a "reliable" registration organization. This means that they have tracked and recorded that breed for a number of generations and have been able to breed true to its breed description. They will also have a "parent club" of members dedicated to that particular breed.
There is nothing wrong with cross bred dogs, we have many in our training classes, but they are not a specific breed.
SomeAnswer mentioned that their friend got a puggle and paid a lot of money for it. That is really a shame. Those selling such mixes because they are in are cheating the public. All types of crosses (including these mention) can be found at your local humane society and can be purchased for around $100 including all medical chaecks, all shots, plus a microchip.

Your puppy is absolutely adorable!!!!!
I think he is a mix of a Chihuahua, from the colouring! Although I have seen a mix of a Pug / Jack Russell and he looks a little similar to that too!

He has the pug coloring. He is certainly small. You think maybe chihuahua? He sure looks inquisitive and bright! He's surely from a small breed and that would be my guess. Good Luck! He's cute and I bet pretty smart, right?

I don't think Chihuahua. I think pug/ Toy Fox Terrier. He is very cute. I am sure he will bring you lots of Joy. Have a good New Year!

My friend Amanda has a puggle--pug & beagle cross, and her's has the same "pointy" nose---her pup looks JUST like your PJ, right down to the white tip on the paw!

my first impresion was chihuahua, but I think your pup could be a pomeranian mix.

A Pug/Chi mix is my best bet.
He definitely has a lot of Pug in him, but also a bit of Chi as well.
You should make a dogster.com page of him. It is free and fun, and he is soooooo cute that everyone should see him!
