Some people don't know, others don't really care, and yet others are working for the illegal aliens in some fashion, for whatever reason.
I think we basically have what amounts to a pretty good country,
if it wasn't, people wouldn't practically be killing themselves(in some cases, actually killing themselves) to get in.
What's missing, though, is the debate on the failure, intentional or otherwise, on the part of source countries of illegal immigrants to basically stand up and start solving their own damn problems, instead of expecting our country to constantly do it for them, either by sending money, or letting em move in wholesale.
That's a job for Congress, and for your representatives, and for everybody, for that matter, too, to sit down and work through the standing laws on the books, gain a better understanding of the entire mess, and develop functional, workable, realistic solutions.
Illegal immigration is not an insoluble problem, but all 50 states are going to have to work on it in concert, as well as Congress, to develop good ways of dealing with it. Some progress is being made, but it's far from solved, I think, and we may not see real evidence of lasting reforms for 5 years, or even longer. But, keep the letters rolling in to your representative, keep the issue alive at the city council meetings, radio shows, newspapers, and the Right Answers will eventually reveal themselves...

No I don't think that they realize,that every action has a reaction.
The repercussions from another amnesty will be horrendous.
Millions of poor people that now will have legal access to all entitlements .Our nation cannot support anymore poor people.We cant seem to take care of our own poor as it is.
Also,once they are given amnesty they will not want to work for the low wages they worked for as illegal aliens.They will demand higher wages and benefits.I know I wouldn't work for $20 a day
doing anything.So where does that leave us.More illegal aliens coming in to do the jobs the ex illegal aliens now wont do.
We will be awash in illegal aliens again.Its a vicious circle that MUST be broken.No amnesty under any name.Secure our borders now .

Amnesty,in general,after WW 2 the soldiers were granted amnesty,after taken an oath,i believe this was the right thing to do,don't you.
