The person was right, even if they totally disagreed with you? I must admit I learned something today and I am glad for it. It was pointed out to me things have changed. Mostly I depend on years of experience but, forget that Many things and ways of doing things have improved. I find I need to do some research on up to date methods. Some I am sure will just rub me the wrong way but, maybe some will be helpful. Thanks

I don't recall ever asking a question just to have people agree with me (except for one time I just wanted to hear reassurance that I should not buy the pet-store puppy).

When I ask a question, I am prepared to have people disagree with me. I give those answers just as much merit as I do the people who completely agree with me. How boring life would be if everyone agreed with me all the time!

But it's so great that you took away something positive from your experience today. That's what these boards are supposed to be for, to help us learn!

I don't know if your question has anything to do with dogs.
