I heard performing haj this year is very special and thatz why the festival date is altered.

dun think so......i too agree dat every hajj is special.plus i havent heard of da eid day gettin altered.........howeva if the day of Arafaat is a Friday, the reward for such a Hajj is 70 times more. (Darse Tirmidhi vol. 3 pg. 245).n this time it is on a friday!

Hajj dates change ever year the same as the dates for Ramadan changes every year. Every Hajj is special.
