Global warming is not a hoax.?

Please stop saying its a hoax. Its really not that complicated! Greenhouse gases make the earth warmer...thus more green house gases make the earth warmer....Jeez!! Look at the polar ice caps and antartica...its freaking melting...so you skeptics just want to stay in your little happy ignorant world so you don't have to face the facts...thats really sad for the rest of us who are trying to do something about it..instead of ignoring it.

I guess my question is...why is it so difficult for people to accept global warming?

If its a scare tactic...then what is the motivation behind it? Unlike the scare tactics used by the bush administration this issue is for man kind...and something that everyone needs to take more seriously. Its not about making money its about saving the earth.

I believe that global warming is for real. All it takes is going outside in late december without a jacket and noticing how cold it isn't. However, even if a few years from now, the scientists tell us it was just sunspots after all, and our co2 emissions weren't hurting anything, isn't reducing pollution and saving natural resources a worthy goal on its own? Even if it is not warming up the planet, isn't it obvious that pumping poisonous fumes into the air and obtaining our energy resources from our enemies is a bad thing? Even if we are wrong about global warming, I just don't see a down side to cleaning up our act.

Can you tell me why the Martian ice caps are melting? No humans there and yet the ice caps are melting.

Have you looked at the graphs used in the report? They based temperature data before 1880's on tree rings. And most of those trees came from the U.S. since Europes trees were long since cut down. Also why does the graph ONLY show data from the Northern Hemisphere? Where's the solar data from before the 1950's? We only know sunspot activity and that doesn't give an accurate temperature reading.

These are but a few of the questions that I have. And there are lots more. If this is supposed to be a science base issue you think folks would have had ALL of the data to make a scientific decision. This is not science, its a scare tatic.

Edit: Look to see who gains and who gets the shaft. American companys get screwed under Kyoto. China and India get a walk. Look at the emissions list for the world. Who are # 2 and 3 on that list? The U.S. reduced their emissions by 9% last year yet there is no mention of this anywhere.

If little 'ole me can look at the science and see great big gaping holes in it, then there has to be folks a whole lot smarter than I am that can see it too.

I have noticed recently that american propaganda has changed. They dont tell global warming is a hoax. Now, they accept it is a fact but they tell it is a natural cycle.

Then a new question, why dont you want to join our fight against global warming etc. ? we learnt how to fight against floods (channels and barriers), wind and rain (stone houses), cold (heating systems), etc.

Unfortunately it is too late to stop global warming, but the more we reduce emissions and reforest our world (more trees) more catasthopic consequences we will avoid, more living beings we will save, etc.

Even if it would be a natural process, please, help the rest of the world to reduce consequences.

We understand that oil business is a huge business but other energies are also good business.

For example, many car manufacturers in most countries sell combined cars (oil & electricity) and they make profit. American companies could do that as well, no?

Many poor countries preserve forests and their green surface. Cannt a rich country as USA do the same?

I think that american citizens are not guilty, most of them just repeat what they hear.

There are so many things we could do all together.

All I can say is that I believe that all people want to do is to make themselves feel better by saying it is a hoax. Also I agree.


Greenhouse gases are just a theory that people have that would explain why the earth is heating up, it is almost proven, but there are too many variables to be so sure.

Just watched that AL GORE movie....opened my eyes more.

Something is going to happen ecologically, maybe a new ice age?

Personally, just in the pass twenty years have noticed climate change here in Arizona.
