My mother has a old dresser that has writing on back:
Raymond Green Furniture, Shelbyville, Ind. 720 Chest Dull Finish XXO. Can anyone tell me anything about this company or age of furniture?

Sorry I couldn't find anything on that business. I live close to Shelbyville, IN and have never heard of them. I did a business, geneology and town history search but came up with nothing. Are the markings on the back a business sticker or just handwritten? Have you checked the bottoms of the drawers and then removed the drawers and checked the inside of the dresser for additional markings? Alot of oak furniture was built in Shelbyville over the years and history of the town. But it might not be from there. Sorry. Good Luck.
