I am engaged and sometimes my fiance refers to me as his girlfriend still. He says girlfriend and fiance are interchangeable since we aren't married yet. I always refer to him as my fiance but when we are out in public especially at bars and the bartenders ask what does your "wife" want to drink, I am all of a sudden the girlfriend again.I want your opinion. Once you are engaged can those two terms be interchangeable? I told him If I am only a girlfriend then I am taking off the ring until he is ready to call me his fiance. Am I wrong??

I think you are taking this too far and have other issues. Who cares that he calls you his girlfriend or fiancee? As long as he is not messing around with others and treats you good, that should be what matters.
This must be a girl thing. So maybe you should listen to someone else on this.

I don't think he should react that way when someone asks what his "wife" wants to drink if you are engaged (or even just dating for that matter)
As far as the girlfriend/fiance thing...I love my little brother's fiance to death, but I still sometimes refer to her as my brother's girlfriend even though she's the only sister-in-law that I'll ever get (unless perhaps if my brother-in-law finds a new wife) who I actually like.

Over 1/2 of your placed up mentions the way you at the instantaneous are not getting alongside and the upsets. you're in denial once you're saying "i have under no circumstances been happier in my existence". that's happiness??? you're suffering the effects of pre mature engagement. relationship for 3 months isn't adequate time for human beings to be planning a wedding ceremony. sure, it does happen, purchase you're having complications and issues at the instantaneous are not all that completely satisfied, so that you 2 did rush into this engagement, even if you're prepared to confess that or not is thoroughly as a lot as you. And, you truly did push the holiday through sending the e-mail.. really, imagine about it. you're planning a holiday yet haven't any set plans -- you deliver a holiday hyperlink to him. what's he meant to imagine?? That the holiday and your hyperlink at the instantaneous are not meant to be linked?? decrease backtrack. at the same time as human beings first meet they are throughout one yet another. each and every thing is ideal. existence is grand. that's because you do not really recognize one yet another yet, you basically have large expectations and all and sundry is on their ideal habit so apparently to be completely satisfied. Then, authentic existence units in and personalities smash through and also you've doubts. might want to this be what he is going through?? give up being pushy, regardless of in case you imagine you at the instantaneous are not pushy. shrink the e-mails and the texting. supply the guy a smash. enable him come to you for a replace. sit decrease back and see how into you he really is.

I would think that a fiance' is a step up from a girlfriend. A man can have many girlfriends at a time, but he can only have one fiance'. Make him own up to what you desire to be called in public.

Women LOVE titles. They love the Public acknowledgement of their ststus with a guy. Guys on the other hand throw all women in the same bucket. True I would call gf & finance the same thing but if you told me it bugged you I would make a point to call you what you wanted. That to me is the key, if you told him to call you by fiance and he still says GF then maybe its his issue. But you gotta figure that one out. Good Luck and congrats on the ring lol oh yeah one thing please dont be dramtic in the future.. ie I just wont wear your ring? I think you shold save that after you have told him a few times first if you go straignht for the knockout punch it loses its effect. I would suggest just take your time it will be more effective......I promise.

Personally, to me---finace is so cliche. I think the terms are interchangeable. I would have an issue if he started introducing you as his friend. Better yet, why doesn't he just call you by your name? I hated it when my ex-husband would say this is my wife--as if I didn't have a name worth mentioning. Or when others would say "My wife" or "My Husband"--use their name!
Just my opinion. If that is the worst thing you have to complain about then you are lucky!

Once my husband and I were engaged, we only used fiance. I think I would have been unhappy with "girlfriend" at that point too. I'm glad he never called me girlfriend when we were engaged!

The terms are not interchangeable. He wants to appear less committed to the cute bartenders and waitresses than he really is. If he wants to appear free so he can still fool around, he ain't ready, honey. Tell him engaged is engaged and to introduce you as such or to kick rocks.

There is a difference between a girlfriend and a fiance. He should call you his fiance. Maybe he is a little uptight about getting married.
