I was at a gorgeous wedding with an open bar and I asked the bartender to make me any drink that he hadn't made the whole night. He created this gorgeous green liquid with a cherry inside and put it into a martini glass. When I asked him what it was called, he said something like Mellopole? Or Melonole? I couldn't understand his accent. Later, when I went back to the bar to request something similar to it, and I said, "Can I please have a Mellopole?" to a different bartender, he looked at me like I was nuts and asked me to repeat the name. I said "Mellopole? Melonole?" and he said something like, "Oh, a Meloball?" So I shrugged and said, "I think so." So he made me an Apple Martini, which he claimed was similar. Can someone please help me figure out what it was that I had in the beginning? It was sooo sweet and yummy, and if I ever request it again, I don't want to sound like a fool!
