My best friend is supposilly in love with this kid.I think she is just obsessing and want to proove her wrong that she is no where close in Love because we are only teens. She loves his personality, smile, ect. Also, she talks to him everday and she knew him since September. She feels safe whenever he is around and feels like she can open up to him. And we are on Winter break now and she is always wandering if he is ok,and is safe. Is this Obsession or love? I personally think it's obession and pathetic.

He's a really nice kid. Don't get me wrong but I don't like to see my friend steeping so low into the pathetic aisle like that. She also told me she's not afraid to be herself around him and no matter how crumby her day was she can always talk to him and it seems like everything is better.

A girl knows when she is in love. It is not for you to judge your friends feelings towards this guy. Teens can be in love, love has no age. Hell, I'm in love. Just be there for her, and don't try to make her feel as if what she's feeling isn't real. If she's not in love, then you are just feeding this obsession. As long as she's not doing anything unmoral, then why worry. She seems happy. Are you happy? It may be tough when a close friends suddenly cares alot about someone else...Hang in there! no one will not and can not take your place :)
Ps. I don't believe love would be love without some level of obsession

There is a thin line between love and obsession. Obssession is a step beyond love. Overkill of anything is bad.
Love- wanting to spend time together
Obsession- not wanting to do anything if that person is not included.
Love- walking next to that person
Obsession- following the person all over, stalking
Love- thinking about the person all the time
Obsession- not able to think about nothing else
Love adds to your life
Obsession takes away from your regular routine

consistent with the 1st question. jointly incompatable. the 1st is fact and the 2nd phantasm. the 1st in non attachment and the 2nd is entire attachment. the 1st is infinate and countless and the 2nd is constrained and finite. One is certainty and the 2nd separates one from the fact. 2nd question. No. Love is already effective. Why attempt to hold close it whilst the very reason to accomplish which will separate you on your adventure from the source of that Love. Love is many stuff on many ranges and is fullyyt ungraspable in this is countless nature for the recommendations. this is the recommendations that tries to cluch and carry close and not the middle. The recommendations can't own that that's this is own author, that which it already is. it may purely manufacture a concept of that which it desires to own and fool itself into beleiving it has unquestionably possessed the factor whilst it has purely controlled to own a picture of the factor that's an phantasm. think of roughly somebody who obsesses approximately money and spends their entire existence hording and scheming or maybe cheating through fact their obsession has led them to have faith that each and every person is out to take their money. They push human beings and Love away on the same time and sometime they awaken to comprehend they're loss of life and all they have spent their lives gathering will turn to dirt. they have traded existence itself that's actual for a tiny factor of existence which isn't actual. i think of the greater significant question is why the would desire to obsess? persist with that thread to this is source. All issues that seek for to chop up us from fact are concern based. What experience or situations have introduced approximately this concern (ie abandonment or concern of abandonment) The obsession itself is a reaction or defence mechanism formed around the source. you will would desire to discover the source with a view to launch the would desire to obsess. Obsession can carry approximately addictions between different issues (transference) through fact they're the same in nature yet selection purely in form. in case you don't get a weed by using the foundation it is going to proceed to come again back better and evolve into distinction varieties.

Love is something that takes time. I have been with my fiancee for 6 years now, and thought I loved her back in the day. But now it is diffrent, we went threw so much together that for me it took a lot of pain to realize what love was. This guy your friend is seeing gives her a lot of self esteem and makes her feel good about herself, there is nothing wrong with that at a young age, but it's not love. You know your in love when that person could do anything to you and you still love them with all your heart and soul, and that takes time.

It's a lot of lust if they are not in a relationship then she cant be too far in love but she may very well love him as a person and he if doesnt treat her as if she is obsessed then it young love that may grow to be real love.

me too, what is love sounds like a crush to me. Teens in general will deny it (I am 22) but it is true.... although it happens not many relationships last if you get together so early

I think its puppy love. There is nothing wrong with always thinking of someone and wondering if they are ok.
