no that is not true
however
ethically some mediums may not feel comfortable giving a reading until you have sufficiently grieved
and although some spirits may come through right away ... depending on the situation , some spirit do need more time than others
and of course if there is anything blocking a clear reading such as your grief or the spirit not being quite ready ... then it would not make for an accurate reading
but this is not always the case
it depends on the medium ... the person recieving the reading and the spirit that comes through
so although i would say you do not HAVE to wait 6 months ... i can understand why some may say so

I am not a medium. However, I can tell you that in tarot divination, you will only get an accurate (sometimes very accurate) view of the energies coming into your life for a six month window. Sometimes you can get a VERY general idea of the energies coming into your life for up to a year, but beyond that you can't get a reading. The metaphysical tends to work in 2s - two weeks, two months, or half a year (2 six month periods). Very rarely it will work in 2 years. I really don't know why, it just does, and I've had many readers and tarot teachers say the same thing about the six month window.

It is not always true that 6 months have to pass or any waiting time whatsoever, i have had communication very soon after the passing of a soul, however i do know that there is a transition period of rest, within this period is is realyy best not to try to contact the spirit, as they need time to come to terms with their new surroundings without being pestered by mediums or grieving reletives. Pestered is maybe wrong choice of words, but they do often need time to come to terms with what has happened and to contact them is hindering that process.

Many spirits do however come back quite willingly very soon after the passing, it really all depends on their own transition. If they do not come to you before this time, do not think it is because they do not want to, it is only because they need time to adjust.

Also please remember that 6 months to us is really only a few hours or days to them as the time does not exist in the world of spirit. There are many websites where you can get alot of information on tis subjec and many reputable spiritualist churches who could advise you on this without any cost to yourself.

This only applies to mediums, if you are a large it doesn't take as long, but if you are a small you will need to bring a lunch because it's gonna be a long wait.

I don't know anything about mediums but my grandaddy contacted me about three weeks after he died when I was five years old and we have been talking with each other since. My uncle contacted me about a week after he was killed in a car wreck when I was 16. He has been talking with me ever since. I have talked with many ghost of dead people all my life since age five. xx

Normally, it's a two-hour window. I'm not sure why mediums believe it to be 6 months. Perhaps they have a different perspective.

I've never heard this before, and I don't think you have to wait 6 mnths. Personal opinion. Find someone else to help you with this, because I think this person is just saying that. Although see what other people say. Good luck.

I am not a medium but I do know that there is no waiting period. I have had communication from friends that had only passed hours previously.

Because it gives them plenty of time to do research into that person who died and therefore can con loved ones into thinking that ther dead loved one is really talking to them through a spirit medium.
