also it wont show up on my start menu either what happened and in order to use word i have to delete one of my word docoments and then use that!!! help me please!!!

Go to Start, Run. Type in winword.exe.

If you can open and clear a Word document, then reuse it, the program has to be on your computer.

Try opening My Computer.
Open C
Look down to "Programs" -- double-click to open
double-cl Microsoft Office
double-cl Office
near the bottom you will see "Word"
right-cl on Word
select "create shortcut"
cut/paste or drag the shortcut -- not the program -- to the desktop
See if that helps.

If this works, you can drag the shortcut down onto the Taskbar for easy access.

I would delete a word document and save that to the desktop. Use saveas and save it as empty word on your desktop like a shortcut. Use it for now as an empty one. Is it part of your backround? I need more information. Check microsoft for your version of word for updates on thier website.

same thing happenned to me and what i did was first an avg antivirus update and then a scan (rather found trojans). no problems solved... i turned up to uninstall the whole ms office and then tried openoffice.org and it has been fabulous... ever since... no problems at all as others tend to be psycho... if you know what i mean...
anyway you can try reinstalling it... ie : uninstall msoffice and install it again...
