Was that what all of the slaughter in the Old Testament was about?

Was he getting rid of the bad apples before they ruined the bunch?

Why did he wait until all but 8 of the apples were bad before sending the flood?

Why did he wait until all but 4 of the apples were bad before he destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah?

He is patient with us....if that sounds funny think of how much went on before he acted in your examples above.
We have the same judgment - whether we acknowledge it or not (our standards because of our sin are very different) we have harming others and ourselves almost constantly. When decided to act (the flood, Sodom and Gomorrah) he did it decisively and swiflty. Sometimes it is over a period of time.
But just as importantly is how he works in our lives to teach and form us more where we need it. Have you had tough things happen after you have been less than kind, or forgiving, etc.? Think it was God? It was - he will tecah and lead us right where we are at. A loving father disciplines his children - it can be pretty tough but I am glad for what he has shown me about myself.
Does that make sense? The world does not know how close and wonderful God can be.

That's why he brought Jesus along so Jesus would forgive our sins when we asked him for forgiveness. Thus, the New Testament God is more forgiving than the Old Testament God who would "destroy the bad apples." Now if you end up a bad apple, God will forgive you in the name of Jesus if you truly want to repent.

I agree; that's stupid, and here is why: the saying is used, oftentimes, to justify making blunders (breaking eggs) in attaining some end (making an omelette), which may be prolonged even extra to assert meaning justify the ends, which, as all of us understand, frequently ends up in disaster interior the top, or that a mediocre, probably haphazard physique of suggestions is suitable. yet once you think of roughly breaking eggs to make an omelette, it somewhat is part of a technique--you in basic terms approximately could ruin the eggs to get out the whites or yolks. (consistent with danger you ought to poke the shell with a needle or some such, in basic terms puncturing yet no longer breaking the shell. besides...) So, interior the top, it style of feels to me, that the saying is misappropriated to justify the making of blunders extremely than re-emphasize or point out or metaphorize, with the objective to communicate, that some tactics have distinctive steps, a number of which contain untidy issues like breaking eggs.
