I went to goodwill once (against my will, but whatever) and they had more than an abundance of used cassettes for around $.50 apiece. Also you can buy them on EBay and at many Music stores (usually not music stores in malls, but the independent ones).

Flea markets and Goodwill are about the only places I know of..
