We have been going through a tough patch, so the amount of loveyness has dried up a bit, but still "cheers"? Should I be freaking out at the moment or should I just calm down.

No, freaking out wouldn't help. If "cheers" is how it stays, it does probably signal a decrease in affection. At this point, however, it may signify a desire to re-connect as friends. Go ahead and take it as that -- as cheerfully as you can manage -- to see what you can make of the next week or so.

its not the big of a deal, guys don't do all the cute romantic stuff in letters, e-mails, notes, text, IMing etc. like girls do...they just don't. Guys don't think like that...besides "hugs and kisses" is SO feminine...I don't think my b/f has ever said that at the end...So...just calm down its okay...."cheers" its nice...different.

I would be concerned but then not. Guys are like that. Just give him some room and space and he will come back around full throttle for you. Really, cheers? He could do better than that, ciao, and reply back the same to him! It'll drive him nuts!

uhmmmm NO. no person has the suitable to make a call for like that on their significant other. i do no longer think of any respectable person might insist some thing like that. It merely exhibits how insecure and overprotective a spouse could be to completely kind her husband merely to tutor others that he's taken. isn't a ring sufficient?

Is he british? It is VERY common for Europeans and British to end their emails with "Cheers"! If you want to know how he feels...just ask him.

Calm down. That's not really something you should dwell on and be unhappy about.
