Hey great question Romeo! Galindez was a very strong and durable fighter and had a good chin too. These two warriors would have set a pretty blistering pace with some exciting exchanges between them. Holyfield would have the edge in boxing ability and probably had a little better hand speed. Galindez would be a relentless and tough opponent though and would give Holyfield one heck of a battle. I see Holyfield winning by a close decision in this one.

You would be asking a lot of Evander considering he never fought at light heavy. Having to cut weight to make the 175 limit would probably be draining. Galindez was a tough cookie. I would think even with Holyfield not being at 100% because of the weight loss could still take him. The result would be the same or similar to the Marvin Johnson/Victor Galindez fight. Evander by TKO in the later rounds.
romeo - in repsonse to your e mail Holyfield's weighed 177 1/2 lbs in his pro debut. 2 1/2 lbs. over the light heavy limit. By his sixth pro fight he was weighing 184lbs. nine pounds over the light heavy limit, and he never went below that weight again.

Assuming this would be at both fighters in their primes...

Holyfield possesses a sneaky lefthook that knocks down/out even heavyweights. This would be a TKO for Holyfield in any round after the 1st.

Holyfield, he is probably the best Light Heavyweight/Cruiserweight of all time. Nobody could match his stamina, chin, power, and will to win.
