Hi.

I have a cat & i'm 3 months pregnant.

Is it true that they can sense when your pregnant because i didn't believe it but i'm starting to believe it now.

Can he sense that theres something going on inside me because he's acting all soft around me , awwww.

Billy ( my cat ) insists on sleeping on my stomach every night and he just won't leave me alone bless him, he's with me all the time.

I've looked online 4 some information but can't find anything really.

Yes. We don't have scientific proof that this is true, but as they act differently, then its highly likely.
Pets can sense the change in your mood, posture and behaviour that let them know that your going through pregnancy.

It must be so sweet to watch your cats ''look after you''! =D
Good luck! and congrats on the baby!

yes cats can definatley sense that it has happened to me as well you must remember any animals behavior changes with his owners eg.. if you dont walk the dog he will chew your couch or shoes ect the cat senses the sensitivity around your stomach and is trying to be protective over you in fact my cat became vicious if anyone touched me and i was only three months as well. when sumone is pregnant there main senses change and any animal can scent that you are looking after something not actually that its a baby but that their is something there they are very sensitive creatures as well sometimes i think if they just had a voice they would be exactly like humans.. if you want to find out more about this you should go to a book store and find a book on animals, baby's and pregnancy see how similar they do things to us when they are pregnant especially cats.. sometimes they know things before we do but generally dont have ways of showing it you will find that your cat will remain very close to you throughout your pregnancy and then close to the baby when born dont be afraid of that its a special connection they have good luck with the pregnancy..

Absolutely. I am also pregnant and I have a cat that usually only likes my husband, lately he won't leave me alone. They can smell the new pheromones. Most likely the cat will not give you any grief when the child is born if he is acting like that now.

Yes, I believe that cats and dogs can sense when you are pregnant. Animals can sense fear, sadness, and happiness. When we are pregnant our horomones change which also causes subtle changes in our scent, which we don't notice, but our animals do. It sounds like Billy is getting ready to be a big brother---congratulations.

There are cases on record of cats refusing to leave the grave of their owners. They can be very sensitive and feeling creatures.
It is quite possible your cat could be aware of your pregnancy.
Of course, he might just be sensing the movements! I prefer to think that he knows.

I have two cats and I swear they knew each time I was pregnant! They used to bring me little 'presents' (i.e. mice), especially towards the end - I think it was their way of providing nutritional snacks to build up my strength. Congratulations on the baby!!

He can smell the change in your scent as your hormones change. Dogs can smell it too.
Animals can also smell when you're unwell, or fit and healthy; its one way they get information about each other.
