allright...for those of you mwho go on here daily,im the one who posted the same question,I lost my password to BB_brittnay_britt so im going to ask again so i can keep up with my answers, but i will give better information, so here goes: I have a 11 week old puppy that i took from my neighbors because they where beating her and they wouldnt feed her or anything. the vet had to amputated her tail (the neaighbors put a rubber band on it and it had an infection) and its been 1 week and 4 days and her tail still bleeds. The dog is at my aunts house because i dont want to risk the neighbors to take her back, and well my aunt has a dog that keeps trying to fight with my dog and he nips at her tail. And the vet wont put a cone on her, she nips at her tail. Also I need a name for her, shes a ful blooded german rot weiler, shes really sweet and loves to play...Ive been hanging on hanna for a while now..but im not sure...should i name her hanna? If you say no..please giver some suggestions

Ahh! this is an easy question! My grandmother raises, sells, and breeds dogs/puppies in North Carolina. To stop the bleeding put crazy glue on the end of the puppie's tail, it won't hurt the puppy and when it gets hard, the glue will just fall off on it's own. Hanna is a cute name for her =] good luck with your new puppy, I'm so happy you saved it!

You may not like to hear this, but you have broken the law. Oh yes it was for a good cause, but you went about it all wrong. By not reporting this matter to the authorities, and taken the matter into your own hands, you have stolen property that did not belong to you. Secondly and most importantly, you have allowed them to get away with their behavior of animal cruelty. The rubber band could have been a simple accident, but the rest surely is not. Finally, by letting them get away with it this time, you have enabled them to do it again to other animals.
Now that we've all had a reality check, take the dog back to the vet for follow up care. Then call the authorities and make an official complaint of animal cruelty. I don't advocate dishonesty, but you might tell them that you only took possession the dog when it found it's way to your property; which is not entirely untrue.
Lastly, thanks for caring enough to get involved; lets do it the right way next time.

go back to the vet. They shouldnt charge you for the visit, you paid last time, but they will charge for treatments. Get her out of your aunts house or get her to seperate those dogs. It's tail needs to heal. Have you let the SPCA know about this? The elastic IS animal cruelty. They NEED to be punished. Does the vet have a good reason for the cone (i am assuming its so she can clean it herself) if not do some research. If it is a good idea you can buy them yourself new or used.

Hanna would be fine. If that's what you feel is right.

Gods... they abused a rottie. How could they?

You can buy your own cone at a pet store. Take her back to your house and let her stay with -you-. That's very important. She needs rest and relaxation, hun. And find a new vet.

I'd talk to your vet about this. Why wont he allow you to keep on a cone on her? It seems like that would be for the best if she keeps nipping at it.

I think Hanna is an adorable name! =)

some people are so awful and i think its great what you did.:)
if your vet won't fix the problem then you'll have to find another vet.
for names how about:
Saturn
pennie- strong-willed - German
Azia - sungods gift - Spanish
Shaylee - playful - Latin
Randi - wild dog - American English
Bryce - strength - Welsh
Layce - strength - American English
Skylar - eternal life,strength,love,beauty - american english
hope this helps and goodluck with the dog!
i do think that hanna is a great name aswell.
Hanna - God is forgiving - English

well i don't know about the tail thing but it could be she's still healing.uit might take some time since she wasn't as healthy before. just nourish her and give her plenty of water. a good name could be Kiara (kee-ar-ah) it was actually the name of a lion in lion king 2( i know i'm way too old for that...) or you could name her Jamilla (jam-eel-ah) which means beautiful in ancient egyptian...
