What is it you regret the most?

Mine is when I became involved and had a fling with a woman I met online. Who turned out to be a psycho, stalker, and much, much, worse. But that's another story.

not getting divorced soon enough. i should have stayed only 7, but stayed 18

Jumping into a relationship after ending 18 yr marriage too quickly. And it was to a bi-polar that was terrible. Divorced and then re-marry to an old girlfriend that I hadn't seen in years. We dated a few months and married. Then I found out that she was totally opposite of what she led me to believe while dating. My life has been miserable with this controlling, manipulative woman ever since. So, I don't actually regret leaving the 18 yr marriage, but I do regret jumping into the other relationships. I wish I could do it all over, and get my true self and all that money back.

I regret cheating on my boyfriend with someone I met when things between he and I were not going so well. I hurt him deeply. And we lived together so he had to look at me daily. The pain in his eyes used to burn right through me. He is a good man, he's just a workaholic. I was bored and often left alone. I was an opportunist.

Things are back to normal now, but I often beat myself up about what I did. I may never live that down. Ever.

There would be way to much to list on here. I think my main regret would be not listening to my parents advise as much as I should, instead I thought I was always right... Oops I was wrong.!

Being with a man who was 30 years older than me. I had thought since he was older, he was done playing games and he wasn't. He had told me once that since he's older than me, he can get away with anything he did and told me that I should say nothing about it.
