Am trying to install this OS but installation will not start.
Can anyone help please.

More details may be helpful: you're trying Mandriva Live Cd? If so, do you get it working live but installation fails or nothing works at all?
If you're trying a non-live cd, the installer starts? Where you're forced ti stop?

Depends on the CD you have. If it's a "Live" disk, you need to change your boot order so it searches for CDs first, then boot with the disk in the drive.
If it's not live, it should just install when the disk is run.

Try clicking on an icon on the desktop "Install to HD" or similar. Alternatively it might be in the menu somewhere.
