I don't know. The age to have one depends on the parents or guardians. If someone likes you then they might tell you. Sometimes, they will just start talking to you for no reason, sit by you, give you small gifts or their friends will act a bit differently around you. His friends might ask if you like him or just the type of things that you like. If you like somebody, I have been there and done that. I've written letters and told them on the phone and all sorts of embarrassing stuff that I regret. DO NOT tell them through a letter because they can TOTALLY use it as blackmail. If on the phone, you could be on speaker. The best way to tell them is alone with no witnesses. Telling him in front of his friends might make him act differently when he DOES like you. Alone, you can see his verbal and non-verbla reactions to your confessions. If he doesn't like you the same way, the world isn't over. I have had 2 boys in a row tell me that they didn't like me that way and the other eight just used me. Finally, the 11th boy is now my bf and is the sweetest, most mannerable boy I have ever met. So don't you worry, if he doesn't like you, you will find a better person, even if it does take 11 times! For now, you have plenty of time for boys! Enjoy being 13 because it's really fun!

you don't need one if you don't really want one. Sure the pressure is tough but you must stand by what your heart wants. It is a tough thing but you must do what you want and it is bad for your mind if you conform to everyone else. I would wait a few years until you are mature enough. First find out who you are and then you will be ready. A boyfriend is not about being "seen" but instead should be about happiness and emotions. I find it sad that people today see it the other way but if I were you I would just wait until you know who you are. Doing that is your job not anyone elses. If you are ready for the change of this then just hope and be brave and one more thing don't worry because no one will care by the time you are in high school.

No it is not necessary to have a bf at the age of 12 or 13. If they bother you alot, they probably like you. If you are 12 or 13, you ignore it or become friends and leave it there. Get to know them as a friend. I REPEAT...ONLY AS A FRIEND!. You shouldn't have a bf or gf until you have reached the age of 16 (officially)

No its not! You would be the smart one to wait awhile before you take that path. But if you chose to ...... remember that at your age there is definitely going to be a lot of boyfriends before you get older so be careful you don't want to be had by everyone if you know what i mean. The first boyfriends in your life will just be the ones you learn from for your future believe it or not. I would concentrate on school and sports ,friends, etc.

its not necessary because you have much more important things to take of at thirteen but yes it is coumforting at that age so lets not call it a boyfriend but a very close friend thats a boy so nothing is to ingraved in stone and you can concentrate on getting through your important daily tasks if you like the person try and give him some saught of sighn see if he shows anything back if yes take from there then tell him and things should be down heel from there if not ask his friends or people he knows to do the fishing thing for you tell them to ask him very indirectly good luck..

You're not supposed to have a bf at the age of 13-14. You're still a kid.

You should never date someone just for the sake of having a boyfriend. You should definetly wait until there is someone that you really like and that likes you back. It is not always easy to tell if someone likes you, good luck with that! Boys can be very complicated. Be yourself always! You do not want to be someone for someone else. When you find someone that likes you for who you are that is what matters!
