You can take Excedrin for temporary pain but I'd suggest you get to a doctor before the pain spreads into an infection. Trust me I found out the hard way. Good luck and I hope you feel better!

The teeth are generally the dead give-a-way. That's a very common sign of a sinus infection. The sinuses swell up and put pressure on the roots of your teeth. The pain can even appear to come from the teeth on the lower jaw which makes it confusing... I've got money you have a sinus infection and the pain you have is sinus pressure.

1. Check with a doctor. This could be serious. Antibiotics (azithromycin, or similar drug is common treatment.)
2. Rinse your sinuses with a salin solution. Let it sit about 30 minutes in there before you blow your nose.
3. Get a decongestant. If nothing else - use Afrin once (and only once) to get it open and irrigate with the saline.
4. Take ibuprophin - it'll help with the pain and swelling. That or Aleve.
5. Definitely see a doctor.

Well, I used to have sinus problems and it gave me a nasty pain in the cheek area.( there is a cavity in there) The pain extends to the back of the neck & head when it hits. But for me it gets me once a month.

Painkillers actually restrict your nerve communications, keep taking them and you will have lots of fun in your later years when you get paralysed or loss of motor control somepart of your body. I got my sinus problem fixed by a herbal remedy, it wasn't pleasant to drink every week.
Do send a recent photo of your self (face I mean), if you do want to know where your problem lies. The answer is closest described as to the practice of Attava Vedas. Nothing like modern medicine which has lots of new diseases that they cant cure but keep discovering.
Anyway you are the one suffering, I cant force you to accept the solution given later. May your intellect guide you.

go to the dentist quick. the pain is from an infection you already have festering. this can lead to serious problems. i underwent an oral operation on 12/14/06 and it took me two weeks of antibiotics first and 1hour and 45 minutes to have the operation done. during the operation my dr. had a stroke and went blind!!!
i had to pay an additional $1,700 dollars to get another dr to finish. i won't go thru that again. take care of it asap.

You need to see a Dentist. It sounds like your cavity has reached the nerve.
