I am looking for a good workout plan that starts out slow and will be something I will keep. I don't care about weight loss or anything at this point, I just want to get back into the routine of working out. So, which would be better....

to start doing strength training once a week the first week, twice the next week, 3 times the following, and THEN add in cardio (or vice versa)

or to start doing strength training once a week for the first week, then in the second week to do strength training and cardio (so only one time each)

Which of these would be better to do to ensure that I keep this workout routine?

Cardio will help you slim down
Weight training will help build muscle.
I would start with 20Mins 3X per week...
Then add 5 minutes to each 20 min workout until you're at 30-40.
Then add more days per week (starting at 20 minutes).

Put it on a calendar to remind you :)
