When I download a song from Limewire,I used to just drag it into iTunes and it worked fine. But a few weeks ago I had to do one of those "System Restore" things to my computer because it had a lot of things wrong with it,and now when I drag a song from Limewire into iTunes it says something like "You are trying to add a new Podcast" and the song won't show up :(
Can someone tell me how to make it work normally again? >.<

Any help is greatfully appreciated :)

I don't know how helpful this will be, but I use the same programs and I always drag from my Shared folder. You may have a different default folder where downloaded music goes, but it should work if you do it that way. And make sure you're dragging it into a playlist and not into your podcast folder in iTunes. Hope this helps.

You can add songs other ways
Just find the songs in the shared folder from limewire and double click them, and they will load up in itunes.
Also you can just add an entire folder, by hitting file on the top left of itunes and hitting add folder, or add files, and find the folder or song files you want to add.

I would suggest just remove the Limewire and iTunes and reinstall them that will solve the problems most likely.

you might want to remove this question asap. Limewire is highly illegal.

make sure the song is in. MP3, MP4, or WMA format. Open iTunes, click file > add file to library. Add the file you want, then try to play it. That should work.

which file format is the song?
usually a song file has to be of the .mp4 format for it to play in itunes and most songs are in the .mp3 or .wma format
you might have to convert the .mp3 file to a .mp4
to do this download a sound editor program such as goldwave (which is free) - also download the LameWin32 plug-in file which is also available for download in the goldwave site listed below

when downloading, it's a good practice to, always scan the file with your anti virus program and also keep your AV program updated on a regular basis - you might also want to download spyware - such as spybot:search & destroy 1.4 which can be downloaded at the following site: http://www.tucows.com/preview/310138
- and/or adware program - such as Adaware which can be downloaded at the following site: http://www.tucows.com/preview/236049

uninstall/reisntall both programs?

also, be careful if you're using Limewire, they will take no responsibility if the recording industry sues you for downloading music.
