I have invited about 20 people to NY Day party. I have invited a few neighbors and a few friends. There is one person who I am on the fence about... I really can't stand her because she is nuts but she thinks we get along, well we do get along. She leaves garbage in her yard that blows into mine. When I don't rake my leaves she calls and tells me she is afraid my leaves will blow in her yard. I had to get a fence because she was putting things on my property like firewood and her pets in a cage. I am afraid it will cause bad feelings if I do not invite her. What should I do?

Out of 28 houses, only 4 neighbors are invited, the rest are my friends from out of the neighborhood. The lady in question, never invites me to her parties and she has an in ground pool. She has a horrid kid that I am afraid she will bring.

Since you are inviting other neighbors you are damned if you do, damned if you don't. Since its New Years day, take the chance to wipe the slate clean and start fresh. Forget all the minor conflicts and issues with her (and they are minor) and put on a happy face.

Sometimes we need to be the bigger person when we still don't feel that caritable. Take a deep breath, start fresh, and don't look for reasons to be upset with her, but reasons to see something good in her. The alternative is just not worth the angst.

Doesn't sound to me like you get along. However, if no other neighbor or friend of yours has a problem with her, then maybe you should invite her to keep peace. On the other hand, if others dislike her or have gotten into it with her in the past also, then that gives you a way out. You wouldn't want your other welcome guests to fee uncomfortable at your party because of her.
Have a great party - - whatever you decide on!!

just try to avoid her....as much as possible...if u meet her don't tell her ure having a party...when she will finally figure it out...yes,she will be upset, but what's more important:u&ur friends having a great time or calling her to ruin ur New Year's Party?U can always buy a nice gift after New Year"s party and say how 'sorry' u feel that u 'forgot' to invite her;)

you shouldn't have invited her, then ... but what you can do now - since its too late - is gett someone that you know she would enjoy hanging out with ... or what you can do is just try not to make a lot of eye contact with her during the party and try to look busy ... kayy good luck

Depends. Your reasons for not liking her sound pretty petty.....I say invite her and just kinda avoid her if you don't want to talk to her.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Not inviting her may be the clearest message you can give her. You can only be honest.

Let the bad feelings be caused. Then you will have her off your back forever.
