It is made by Phillips and the feature is called Ambient lighting. The feature is very enhanced in the commercial, as I have one in my home, and the ambient lighting is not near as intense as the lighting in the commercial.

listen to Tony C. Hes right on the money. The tvs are also very long lasting. I had one for a while now. No problems or glitches. Had it for 2 years to be exact. And IT IS very INTENSE.

The above poster is only semi-correct. It is called ambilight and is readily available on most of Phillip's flatscreen TVs.
You can actually buy your own ambilight kits for your own non-Phillips TV (called ambient lighting kits).

ambi light isnt it? with the hulk on the tv on the advert and it changes that colour? i think its sony who make it not quite sure.
