We are friends now...but we were casual lovers before. I invited him to go on a trip w/me & my parents awhile back when we were seeing each other. Now...apparently he said he hooked up w/a girl, although I'm not sure if he's lying or not because he still wants to go on vacation w/me. Does that seem a little weird? I'm thinking the girl is just a random hookup or he is dating her after 3 months of us being apart?! Anyway, if we are friends, would it make things weird if he went on the trip?

If you both know where you stand there shouldn't be a problem.

If you are just friends you'll have a laugh - if either of you secretly want to get back together things could go pear shaped....

Depends if there is any expectation of benefits to be involved. If not, it won't necessarily be weird, but being previous lovers it probably will. I say that because it is likely that one, the other or both of you still has a sexual attraction to one another. That means if there are no benefits, there is sexual tension. If there are benefits, it makes you the "other woman."

I'd be curious to know what you decide...

P.S. Guys don't need an emotional cooling off period after dating someone before we start dating another woman. Dating another woman 3 months after you two stopped dating is not a big deal to a man except in cases of true love or obsession.

I dated a woman and we made plans to go to Belize. We stopped being a couple by the time the trip came around but we still went because we had already bought airline tickets and rented a house and we had a blast. a vacation is just that a vacation. i don't know about you but i have fun on any trip with almost anyone.

I would not go with him, I would look for some one else to go with you anyone else, but not him, he is showing signs of not wanting to be there with you and making excuses not to go, why push it, it will most likely be an awkward vacation to say the least...and it could make it miserable for everyone..so DO NOT ask him again, for a matter of fact say NO to him even if he mentions it...find someone else even a friend that is a girl....

good luck

Does he want to take this girl with him? because that would definitely be wierd. Based on what you wrote it seems like you may not be totally comfortable with him being in a relationship. If you are totally over him then you shouldn't be thinking these questions. Maybe being on vacation with this man will help you to sort out your feelings and his.

Why not ...nothing wrong with it. Who is paying for the trip? Don't just give him a free vacation if he isn't kicking in too for his part.
