I have no idea why they would. I see nowhere in the BIBLE that anyone wore a cross or any example of a Christian doing so. Of this, You are correct. It is possible that some of these people want to be reminded of the Cross where Jesus was crucified. That was a shameful and horrific way to die. Most of the people were suffocated after their legs were broken and they could no longer push themselves up for air. I absolutely see nothing wrong with the question! Have a great read and a wonderful week!

It is strange, but I think some uptight person reports you and the system is automated and just removes the question without investigating!

You are right to inquire about the cross, it is a symbol is taken from the initial letter for the god Tammuz.
Tammuz was another name for Nimrod, whom the Bible calls "a mighty hunter in opposition to Jehovah", the True God. (Genesis 10:9 and Psalms 83:18)
Surely this proves that it is not a symbol God would approve of in worship? A true christian would not venerate it.
Additionally Jesus was crucified on a stake (Greek "Sturos" - beam) not a cross. (Acts 5:30 King James Bible)
Had Jesus been murdered with a weapon would true lovers of him venerate or idolise a gun or sword, wearing miniature replica's of such in gold or silver around their necks? I think not!
Yet millions of acclaimed Christians do wear and worship what they believe Jesus died on, - very strange, you are quite right to query it !

If you do some research on the matter, Jesus did not die on a cross, but on a stake. Which was the custom of those times. The cross is another belief that Constantine started. If you look into pagan religions, they all had crosses, like the Egyptians. It's actually a phallic symbol.

Offended someone...I had to post a question three times the other day before it took.

As to your original question:
Many wear it as a reminder to Whom they belong, and to some it's like an identification badge though since alot of non-Christians wear crosses it's lost much of that meaning.

I am a Christian and I do not wear a cross. I show my love and devotion to the Lord for what He has done for me by my living for Him the way He asked me to. Praise the Lord!!

It's a symbol of devotion.

One of my favorite jokes though...If Jesus does come back, I think the LAST thing he'd want to see is a cross.

what was the reason for the violation? is that your entire question? i see nothing wrong in it though R&S is filled with no-lifers who report anyone that disagrees with their views. just roll with the punches and file an appeal with yahoo abuse to get your points back.
