I look at western tradition where they teenagers really ashamed if they didn't get laid before entering the college? (in American Pie). Is it really important to get laid before marriage or it is nothing, just tradition or culture?

That is an individual decision. Personally, I would consider not having sex before marriage more important. While teenage hormones are raging, the desire to have sex is strong. Too bad the hormones do not wait until the brain is mature enough to make good decisions. The repercussions of sex at an early age include: complications in pregnancy, birth defects, in ability to care for the child, school dropout and ruined future for the mother. The list could go on and on, but this will give you an idea.

If I could say one thing to every teenager, it would be "DON'T DO IT!"

I don't think it is important at all I am waiting until marriage and I am almost 21 it doesn't mean you can't do other stuff I am just waiting until the ring is on. I just think it has become a norm in this society to have sex like it is the best thing ever and i think it can be if you wait for the right person to share that with!

I don't know if you realize this or not, but American Pie is a movie. It's not important to get laid before marriage or before age 20. I was 23 when I lost my virginity.

Marriage is the relationship which gives a good name to sex. So it is not necessary to have sex before enterring age of 20 and end up with a black spot on yourself

It is not important. there is no law that u have to lose ur virginity b4 a certain time, it is nice hearing of people having sex for the 1st time wen they get married but.... hey this world is changing and some people do not want to get married, don't have time for marriage and it wouldn't b fair for them not to experience climax in all cuz of no marriage. u should have sex wen ur ready wen u find some1 that isn't after it or can wait for 18 or more months.

Important reality update- American Pie is a MOVIE!! Having sex, while fun, is not the most important part of a relationship, and can actually be harmful in the long run. Take it slow, and wait. You will be glad you did.

It's not very important to have sex before you are 20. As a matter of fact, people who have sex before then often end up with serious diseases or complications in their 30's. Television has made sex the top priority and with those male hormones flying around, it's hard not to fall in with the crowd. If you want to be a follower then go ahead and have sex. If you want to go to heaven, then obey GOD. Thank you.

It is definitely NOT important, you should wait until you are mature enough to handle the consequences that come with sex. Wether you be 20 or 35! But i definitely wouldnt marry someone with out having sex with them first, i mean this is the last person you'd be doing it with!

No, neither tradition nor culture says anything about sex before 20.
Most people lose their virginity before 20 but it is not tradition or culture nor is it important to do so...

Yes I see your point. This society is very weird and confused, if a male is still a virgin by the time he's 21, he is looked down upon as being lame or something of that sort, yet at the same time this society complains about teen pregnancies and underage kids having sex. It is both confusing and stupid, the way society acts.
