if it is wrapped well and make sure it is either covered with marinade or you turn it frequently and the fridge is between 36 and 39 degrees it should be totally fine in that amount of time...
and of course cook it well

The rule of thumb is 24 hours but I have had chicken in marinade for a couple of days and it's been fine. Just make sure you cook it thoroughly! Something that works well for me is to put the chicken and marinade in a ziplock bag and freeze it as soon as I buy it. When I'm ready to cook it, I throw it in the oven. The marinade makes it very tender and it saves the problem of planning to cook, running out of time and having food go bad.

Usually 2 days is the most for chicken you are marinating. After that the chicken may go bad if left in the fridge. So you should be fine leaving it in the fridge.

My kids were picky too until I took them to a homeless camp down the street. Kids are not supposed to be picky. My 2 girls, 5 and 8, are not allowed to be picky. Being picky is not cute; not in this day and age and not in this economy. My kids eat what I cook and its fortunate for them that I know how. When they didn't eat what I cooked, I made them something worse, like cabbage, so that they would learn to be grateful for what they had. It worked. Never cook two meals just to accomodate the kids. I know that this isn't the answer that you were looking for but as soon as I saw 'picky' I had to give you my advice. I am an 11 year combat veteran and I have eaten things that would ...gag you to say the least. There is nothing worse than a spoiled, picky child. Go ahead and report this, I'll start a new account as soon as I finish...

Check every chicken for freshness - should not have fatty film or odor. I would not recommend buying chicken on sale letting it sit for a day then cut up marinade then sit for another day. Buy it fresh, marinade immediately then cook after 24 hrs. Trust in where you buy your chicken. Some stores have sales. In some cases the chicken must be cooked immediately.

You could probably leave it over night. But don't leave it more than 2 days in the fridge cause it will go bad, chicken and fish are very delicate.

no, you can leave thawed food in the fridge for up to but no longer than 3 days. So if you want to cook your marinated meat today or tomorrow it will be okay to leave in the refrigerator

The same amount of time you can leave unmarinated chicken in the fridge: 3-4 days, assuming you just thawed or bought it.
