How to make a man 47 y.o., who never been married, make a decision about our relationship? He says he loves me...We live in different cities and I am ready to move far away. I just wait on his word "Don't go! I want to be with you! Come over to me!" But he doesn't say anything...It kills me...I love him with all my heart.

You can't make him make that important decision he has to make it on his own. If you move and he still hasn't done it then it really wasn't meant to be. But if he does or he comes after you then he has made that decision and it will all work out. Just remember you can't make him do what you want he has to do it on his own. Hope this helps out. Good Luck.

I kind of agree with Jeepguy. It's odd for a man age 47 to have never been married. Plus, whether he would make a good husband to you may be questionable after having been a bachelor for so long. We tend to get set in our single ways after a while.

Also, if he really wants to make a committment to you, he will ask. Perhaps it's time for you to consider moving on. If you let him know of your intention to move on and he doesn't want to lose you, he'll tell you what you want to hear.

Good luck, whatever you decide.

I don't know if you've met him in person (I hope you have if you love him that much) but it sounds like at 47, he doesn't want to make a commitment to anyone. Especially as he's reviewing his current lifestyle. It would be very difficult for him to adapt to having a "family" lifestyle if all he has known is bachelorhood for that long. Be cautious with him, as there may be some "reason" that he has not married by 47.

At 47, he must come to a decision. Tell him the truth, he is getting older and risks losing someone who means the world to him. The best way to snap him out is to wake him up. If he realizes he may lose you, he may come around.

Why make him make an important decision? That is too hard. Instead get him to make an impotent decision.

Sorry Kitty, you can't make a man do anything he doesn't want to do, and if you bug him, you will surely lose him.

Either accept him, as is, or find someone else.

You put the question to him so that he must decide yea or nay. It's me or the road and there are about a thousand other variations on it.
